Exactly. It's cost me nothing and looks good on the shelf. I'm tempted to buy a working one though.

I would, great little cameras. I have been playing with the macro on the OM1 and its a great lens. I could really do with a split image focus screen for it rather than the microprism thing its got. Not easy to use.

From memory they are replaceable on the OM1. Does it not have the standard horizontal split centre and 'freznel' collar?

Ophic"s right on that. There's a range of different focussing screens which are interchangeable across the whole OM system. Maybe you could ask admin if he'll part with a bit of his doorstop.

I don't think it would fit. Slightly different design. I do have an OM10 screen that I use for collimating that I could try.

Just read that they are the same, just the om1 has a tab for identification. Will give it a try.

Yep the om10 screen fits. I actually had two in the bit of paper I had them wrapped in. Focus is a million times better now.
