Morning all. Grey and looking like rain here. Hoping it's going to stay dry as I'm supposed to be gardening for someone this morning.

Spiders are taking over the world Trevor. come to think of it they'd probably make a better job of it than some of the inhumane ratbags currently posing as world leaders.

Sunny here but it's one of those days I can't muster enthusiasm for riding because I know there will be a lot of traffic heading for the coast and Cadwell (BSB). On the other hand I feel guilty at wasting a perfectly good riding day.
I think I'll sit in the sun, read a book, eat an ice cream and curse my brain.

Know what you mean Seeker regarding getting a ride in but wanting to avoid the BH traffic. Last two years we've spent the Aug BH sat in jams on the way back from Norfolk as mum's birthday is the 29th. We've now told her no more BH visits for the sake of our sanity.

Got out for a couple of hours yesterday but took side roads for most of it. Nice but windy. Gardening for most of the afternoon and that's my plan for today after a very lazy morning. In my defence I am still jolly full from a jolly nice Sunday roast cooked to perfection by the lovely Lady Poppy. Bottle of wine, homemade cade to follow... Been quite a nice BH weekend so far.

I had a spin out to the Raven caff near Whitchurch this morning, which is a nice 100-mile loop from my house.
Roads were surprisingly very quiet. Lots of bikes at the Raven, had a good chat with a woman about her Husky Svartipilen 701. It had an Akra exhaust on it, it made quite a bark ...

Morning all. Bloody chilly out there this morning, the wind is back round in the north again. Shouldn't be like this in August/September

Last weekend of the school holidays now, so a few more days and the roads should quieten down again. It'll be nicer out on the bike with less of the holiday traffic.

That cool wind seems to be the theme of this summer, that and the rain.

Temp lights everywhere and tractors pulling obviously overloaded trailers dampened my ride out to the shops today. Not too cold here yet but I'm glad I had a long sleeve on under my jacket. Hopefully it'll be another few weeks before I have to put the thermal liner back in...

Bafflingly the thunderstorms and rain in the forecast for today have not turned up. Instead it is wall to wall sunshine and its hot as flip. Not helpful, considering I sprayed the lawn with iron yesterday expecting it to be washed in by the rain...
