D'oh

I'm just waiting for the 5 year old abused, unlubed, unloved, previously rusty chain on mine to go...

Think I'll be carrying a spare on the Hills Killer...

I was not expecting the chain to go if I'm honest. Not when its a £40 job. But not bovered, free replacement, just means don't get to ride tommorow.

Then on weekend need to look at fitting my road tyres Girth gave me some time ago.

Impessive improvement in muscle strength, to be able to snap chains Drew, your legs must look like this?

Nope, my legs not looking like that!!!! I think it was a deffective chain. What suprised me, is that it didn't go on the split link, went on a standard riveted part.

Could have been a piece of stone flicked up between the plates which did for the link, or just a duff link in the chain. Unusual though for SRAM

Ouch... had a chain snap on me once while sprinting... one moment I'm pedalling like mad, the next moment I'm dragging on the tarmac, hearing the noise of metal scraping and watching my computer thingy happily skipping up and down a few inches from my nose. I just remember thinking "wtf are you doing there? ", then "erm I'm sure I'm not supposed to be lying on the tarmac in the middle of the road..." quickly followed by "ouch, this flippin' hurts like ****". Still carry the marks on my elbow and right hip.

And you're still complaining about the warranty? Mine was a middle / top of the range Shimano thingy, btw.

No complaints from me, just wasn't expecting it. lol. Its lucky to be honest that it only went when I started pulling away from some lights. Else could have been painful.
