Grey start in Nottingham has turned into a lovely late afternoon here at Trev Towers. Nice as it was to meet the whole team face-to-face for a staff meeting yesterday, and the drinking afterwards, I really did not need the accident infested four hour drive home. Should have taken 2.5 hours tops... Needed a nap when I got home.

It's so nice I may just spread some granular autumn feed on the lawn this evening as it's forecast to rain over some of the weekend, and it will wash it in.

We had a lovely end to last week and up to Saturday evening. Then it went dull with thunder and lightning for 24 hours with persistent heavy rain. This week looks like a winter week in terms of light and rain. I had to wear my hi-vis to walk the dog this morning.

I've just read that the Food Stop cafe at Bridgnorth has closed. Such a shame as it was a very popular bikers cafe and used many times by myself.

Always a shame when a favourite location closes.

I went into the office today but it was, shall we say, entertaining. There are lots of streams criss crossing the very flat areas south of Oxford and the torrential rain from the weekend means a lot of farmland is now a lake. So many of the roads are flooded as a result, not badly, but its tip-toe through it if you're sensible, which none of the local van drivers are!!
