This is what I use very reflective for commuting, like all rain jackets you can end up wetter inside that out if the weather's too warm.

I've got one proper waterproof top, but as I don't go out in the rain, its mint! Its a Gore Oxygen goretex jacket, more of a racing cut, than for commuting. Fits in one of my back pockets (just)

I've also got a Sportful Fiandre light rain jacket, more shower proof, than waterproof, but really breathable, so I don't get too sweaty inside. Easily fits inside my pocket.

For your use maybe an Altura Night Vision jacket. Gets good reviews on Wiggle & road cc

Its seems that generally the more you pay, the better the breathability of the jackets & better the cut.

As we are talking jackets would you guys think about wearing a Proviz 360 waterproof jacket? I'm thinking about one as in the next few months most of my riding will be in the dark.

I think I might have scared someone today, I waved and said hello to him today and he showed up on my Strava Flyby so I gave him Kudos and a wee comment.

Dippers your expert commuter here, if you're riding in the dark, then more led lights & reflective tape on your mudguards could be as effective for less money?

A good front light is worth the money, but another cheapo led rear would improve your visibility?

Coming back from GM in 2013 via Applecross & John O'Groats my rear light died in Edinburgh. Somewhat unnerving trip home from there using the brake light as an emergency. Now carry a cheap Lidl rear light as a standby.
The Street Triple rear light is LED & not easily repaired at the roadside.
Luckily ( for my purse ) it was a blown fuse which cost 5 pence instead of £110 for the LED lamp!

That looks similar to the Sugoi jacket I posted a link to but it looks like its a looser fit, the Sugoi is semi fitted which I prefer.

Currently I use an UnderArmour baselayer with my DHB Momentum Jacket on top. The jacket is more like a jersey really, and is not windproof or waterproof. So at the end of each commute its still wet for the return leg. I have a Sportful Refelx 2 rain layer but on the the occasions I did use it the zipp kept sticking and didn't do a great job of keeping me dry underneath neither.

Hoping to spend under £100 if I can

Cheers
That Altura i posted up has just been reduced to £43 by Ribble

Thanks for the input lads

In the end I went for a punt on the Rivelo Langcliffe jacket. Liked the idea of just a plain black jacket

How do you find the jacket altogether? I like the fact you can get them in normal colours, the red does appeal. I'd be using it for commutes or for evening rides after work, and at this time of year I don't think I need to worry about warmth

I have a FWE rear light atm, I was thinking about getting another. I have the Leyzne 600lm thingy and a Decathlon one. Trying to figure out a way to attach both is a trial. After you saying reflective tape I'm looking at 3M reflective tape for the back mudguard, I suppose if the worst comes to the worst I could wear the reflective waist coat thing I was FORCED to wear leading the GM a few years ago.

It's my go to rain jacket. It's lined which is nice but small enough to roll up and stuff into a jersey pocket, it doesn't feel cumbersome or flap and has a nice long back to keep the back end warm and dry One downside is there's only one pocket which isn't all that big but I keep all my repair kit in a small saddle pack.
