Re: Vintage film cameras
Pollution is a little hazy but you can't always see it; there's no heavy smog. It's more the air quality and quantity of micro particulates in it that's the danger. The mask just keeps all the nasties out of your lungs.
Wait until closer to Christmas for the mirrorless. All the manufacturers had cashback schemes last year. Panasonic were refunding 200 pounds at one point and it was possible to get a GX80 for around 250. I got a really good deal on the OM-D with the cashback and an Amex offer through Jessops. Double check that the Pen has an EVF as I think some don't. Sunday was a (relatively) low pollution day but dark and grey so I went out with the digital camera. I'm reaching my limits of what I can do with temples, parks and bamboo. |

Re: Vintage film cameras
I haven't put any more pictures up - it's a bit of a pain with firewalls and internet speed. It took me 40 minutes to upload the panda pics.
Will upload more when I get back. |

Re: Vintage film cameras
No worries. Bet you can't wait to get back to the UK. Weather is turning cold here now.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Bidding on this, bit of a punt 132396377756 the same seller has a Bessa 6x9 RF. I think I got it confused with something else as I pooed myself, but they go for about £50-100, I had several times that in my head!
Blimey Yokes, sounds a bit nasty there, like Kenzie says, I can't imagine the air quality being so bad as to keep you in. It's not bad here, cold but dry and clear, the air is starting to dry out now as well. |

Re: Vintage film cameras
Someone might be disappointed as the seller has used the Bessa RF photo on the Afga J as well.

Re: Vintage film cameras
I went out Thursday and took a few more pics. Tried to upload a few but no joy. The only way to do it is email myself, download to internal storage at work and then upload from there.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Do you know what would be a really good idea? When collimating a camera it might be a good idea to also recalibrate the rangefinder!!!!
I was out shooting with the AE 1and 135mm f3.5, the refocused Trip 35 and Yashica 44. The 44 was a little crunchy because of the damaged gear but winds well enough. Two shots left.
