I had a set of Aksium Elites with tyres for £140, but they're gone now, I don't think there's any point spending too much more for the Triban . I should just lift the money from the credit card and put it away and stay saving for a better summer bike.

I keep looking at the Ribble site I like the fact you can spec their bikes the way you want.

Planet X also do a similar thing. Also look at Canyon bikes, superb value and great spec.

Hopefully my jacket from Sport Pursuit will turn up. They've brought forward the delivery date to 15th now so fingers crossed. Got soaked this morning coming in as it was teaming down.

Although if you're buying wheels with a Shimano hub then they usually will fit other bikes

Like these?

£143

Saving is probably the better plan.

That's the ones, I'd need to get a chainset and a spacer too. Idea was put wider treaded tyres on the wheels I have for the 16 mile canalside commute. Then I can swap wheels to road based for fun times.

But then I'm full of great ideas 95% of which never happen.

Mavic's should come with the spacer, 10 speed cassettes are the same width as 8 & 9 speed cassettes if I'm correct.

New chainset?

Cannon are experiencing delays in delivering bikes I've read, probably due to demand because of their keen prices

I am seriously considering this as my next bike, only issue is I have no way of testing it to see if its comfortable enough to ride

Luverly, yes same as buying shoes or clothing online you don't know what it's going to be like until you get on it.

Its a bit more expensive than a pair of shoes!
