Re: Vintage film cameras
No idea. I gave it only a minor look, it had a tele lens on it. I might be able to get back next week but the market is only on in the morning. There was a guy at Retford on a Friday with a load of cameras but mainly just old cheapies, but also a few SLRs like a couple of Spotmatics, nothing I was after though. Some M42 lenses.

Re: Vintage film cameras
How can you know it's never been used? £2000, more salty than minty!

Re: Vintage film cameras
Very true, no way of getting a shutter count. Have been looking at the Panasonic G3 for vintage glass on digital, it has an evf which would make focussing easier than holding up the nex like a point and shoot. Not too much difference in sensor size between that and aps-c.

Re: Vintage film cameras
I would say that the focus on the rebuilt Trip 35 is pretty much spot on. Colour shifts are caused by expired film.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Nice pics!
Something funny going on with camera prices. They seem to have shot up this year but some have come down. I spotted a Konica Auto S2 in France for 1 Euro starting price. Someone has put a bid on it so I thought I'd better see what they're going for now - last time I looked it was £80-90. Plenty have gone lately for more like £25, so when you add the postage from France, it's not worth me trading it. There are some that have gone for more, but you can get one for that sort of money. If anyone's interested, it's a lot for your money, the lens is superb. There was something else I was looking at, forgotten what, same thing, prices have dropped. Curious! |
