Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
I've found it's using loads more fuel doing this for longer in winter though. I've dropped from 180 miles per tank (best) to 130 sometimes at the moment. I am using it for lots of shorter journeys and commutes too though rather than the longer trips I was doing last year and it's not the most frugal in stop start traffic.
Going to change the plugs on it this week and see if that changes anything. It's done about 26k now and iridium plugs should be fine for 30k plus but it is a 2007 bike so they'll need doing very soon if they don't already. May as well just bite the bullet and change them to see if it makes a difference.

Frog spawn in the pond. Always makes me smile. Was dragging the lawnmower from the shed to the garage to do an oil change when I noticed and by the time I'd done that and cleaned myself up to go get my camera it had started raining... Perhaps I'll get a pic this weekend.

Looks like your log pile is trying to fall over.

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
Think this belongs more in a "WTF of the day" thread but while waiting at the jet wash I watched a guy insert the pressure washer nozzle into the exhaust of his idling Peugeot and squeeze the trigger. Gave it a proper blast. Hopped in and drove off with blue smoke suddenly pouring out of the pipe. Wasn't smoking before he did that.

Exhausted myself demolishing my sister's shed today, it's good for my soul to expend some angry energy.

When you go for a test ride on a shiny new bike and then get back on your old banger to go home and realise you prefer your own bike.
