Sun is out, and I have a day off.

Good on you for buying local. Now you have people that can help you out if you have a problem and most of all, keeps that money in the local economy so not only that store profits, but all the stores they shop as well, vs going to some big companies bank account to likely be spent overseas.

Late notice half day taken and I went out and played on the bike only a short 100 mile bimble.

Knee deep in wrapping paper here this evening with lots of happy squealing. It's like the Monkey was 8 again, not 18. It's nice and peaceful now I've dropped her in town for a night out with her mates. I feel a bit old now but she's turned out reasonably well.

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
Going to a very low key event at Waterstones to hear a couple of authors of spy thrillers (Charles Cunning and Alan Judd) talk about being writers. Was informative and interesting and free. I love books, but don't own a Kindle, and it was good to discuss the merits and drawbacks of both.
