Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
Took the bike for a run up to lake Vyrnwy. It didn't burst into flames after my electrical repairs, so that was good. I thought I caught a faint whiff of hot electrics but that might be my paranoia. I'll take the fairing off tomorrow and check.
Didn't stop anywhere so no contact with human beans. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

Lake V. was on Countyfile - quite interesting as haven't been there for about 5 years.
Good to hear about the non-fryingtonight electrics

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
I am now unemployed. 12 years working as a cleaner, my workplace refusing to shut down (pretty much until someone dies) and my employer simply not having the balls to look after us led to a conversation with my gaffer this morning.
I'm sorted with a job for a few months until everything settles down then plan to retrain and move on to a different career. Huge sigh of relief |

Good luck with that Chris. Sounds like it was time to move on.

It's getting hard to find good news these days but it sounds like you have a plan and I wish you success. What career direction are you thinking of taking?

Local Sainsbury's looks like a plague of locusts has been through. Went to the little "One-Stop-Shop" a couple of streets away, pretty well stocked and even if the thing you wanted wasn't in there were plenty of alternatives, and they smile at you. I think I know where the next shopping trip is going.

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
Lady Poppy went in to work today and came back two hours later with boxes of files and her dismantled desktop PC. Felt a bit mean not helping her put it all together but she arrived just as I went on to an hour long video call with our client so.... On the upside I now have a lovely co-worker in my building and someone to chat to when I break for a cuppa.

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
Insurance again.
I've been with Hastings for 6 years and they've always been good at renewal time. Last year my premium went down without me even asking. However, this year, after 3,500 miles of claim free riding, they think it's a good idea to increase the premium from £151 to £201. Err no thanks! That's taking the proverbial. A little bit of hunting around and I got pretty much the same cover from Bikesure for £156. |
