I'm reliably informed Bridgestones are even tougher. Still worked up a bloody sweat, but didn't break a nail so it's all good

In future I'm going to purchase tyres based on softness of carcass for ease of fitting!

Yesterday I cleaned and lubed the rear brake light switch as it periodically stuck on. When it sticks on the canbus notices, checks the hydrolic pressure then assumes the brakes are faulty so it turns off the abs, this in turn shuts down the servo assist on the linked brakes as the rider cannot be trusted not to lock the wheels. Net result brakes very similar to my old Francis Barnet from the 50s. Bloody safety systems.

Not so much a tinker, but after getting home on the bike I suddenly, and somewhat worryingly, realised that the MOT ran out 3 weeks ago .... oops.

Guess what I'm doing at the weekend ?

.... and as I'm writing this the wife has just told me that hers ran out yesterday lol. So that's 2 MOTs this weekend.

Get Michelins - they fall on and off dead easy.

I have taken apart, cleaned and put back together several different carburetors at college this evening. Then removed and emptied a tank that contained more sludge and rust than fuel. I smell like I've been sleeping inside a petrol pump.

Removed and partly dismantled a GSXR1000 engine. It's not going back - that's broke that is.

If your Stu is the kind of guy that likes sniffing engine parts it could get a bit personal for you
