If I'm honest last time I was adjusting the derailleur the bike was hung by its seat by a mop that sat on across two kitchen work surfaces. It wasn't ideal as I had to sit on the kitchen floor but it meant I could turn the back wheel and check things at the same time.
It's proper... it just didn't come out of a factory in China.

Alternatives include upending the bike on your wife's best bath towel in the kitchen or on the lounge coffee table while you watch re-runs of the Tour de Whatever.

It's a bit ghetto, but is very low risk... except the wife going machine gun ninja on ya!

There's probably a whole bunch of do's and don'ts when working with bike stands to avoid damaging the bike. A good thing can turn sour pretty quick.

Bike cleaning... now there's a subject that would keep a cycling forum going for days.

ATM I use a big bit of carpet and turn the bike over when I'm cleaning it, but it's far from ideal and I don't wanna do that with the new toy.

Might sound daft but one thing I will miss on the Ultegra groupset is the indicators on the hoods.

I should have been out today but Tequila Took over last night. I might get out later.

Amazing how little power even strong riders put out compared to the power we take for granted everyday around us...

There was something off in that test... I'd have expected better from someone like Mr Muscles Forstemann who is an impressively strong young fella.... I like the way he twists the machine around like he's trying to tear it apart and in another video 200kg squats like " Ja, I can do dies all day!" ...but yeah, we're all pretty weak.

The Limit power meter is interesting if for no other reason than it is a step towards pushing the price on power meters down further.

the dilemma of the week is white, gold or red rims ? Its going on a silver road bike . Now I want to go faster so the red ones have the edge so far!
This is all part of the rehabilitation process of motivating myself onto the bike
