Re: The Cycling Thread
Well this post should really go in gripe of the day.
Last week when I bought the bike I asked if they would deliver it to my parents house five minutes away, as I probably wouldn't be in. I was denied this request because the bike was bought on finance (0%) and it had to be delivered to my home address. Well I've just received notification that my bike has been delivered.... To a neighbour on a different Street that I hardly know... WTF!!! I know Merlin aren't to blame but I've already sent them a snarky email complaining. I'm not happy in the slightest.

Re: The Cycling Thread
wheels arrived and they do indeed come as a pair... They really are light that you dont believe that there are any wheels in the box.
Tyres tubes and photo coming up

Re: The Cycling Thread
My wheels aren't here yet because they are being delivered by UPS. UPS have never yet managed to deliver me a package. I always have to go to the depot to get it, no matter how clear I make the delivery instructions.
Probably get them Monday... |

Re: The Cycling Thread
The tyres were ok to get on, all finger work but I broke 2 cheapo levers getting them off the old wheels though. The rear hub sounds a bit rumbly when you spin it back wards may be it needs loosening up. Here is my new ride for 2016. Bar tape to change colour once I can decide what matches the wheels
Yes I am short and it looks like a fisher price bike No test ride tonight, hopefully sometime over the weekend

Re: The Cycling Thread
Feels like a lifetime but she's here and she's been built 7.8kg with the pedals.
Just footering with it I can feel how light the groupset is. Now the dilemma do I give it a try tomorrow or wait for decent weather?
