Re: The Cycling Thread
Like to see the finished article Matt, i like those llewellyn frames, such fine lug work. Their stems are works of art

Re: The Cycling Thread
They've served as inspiration and I have similar goals... it just takes longer.
http://www.llewellynbikes.com/HTML/handlebar_stem.html The stem lugs are a bit of an annoyance because of the shaping and cut outs... hearts... yuk! I need two plain points (not four) with no cut-outs to do my own thing... stylised Mars and Venus symbols. It's the same with BB shells and fork crowns which are rare enough for straight Max fork blades. I end up doing a lot of filling and filing before I can do anything with them. |

Re: The Cycling Thread
Guys I need some advice and help.
I've been messing about with the new toy and the cassette is making some awful noises. When you spin the crank slowly you can see that the chain is running fine but there's one tooth on each turn that the chain is sitting proud to start off with then falling noisily into place. It's doing it on every gear. How do I sort this?

Re: The Cycling Thread
Pictures? Stiff link or a cassette that hasn't been fitted properly are the first thing that springs to mind.

Re: The Cycling Thread
Thanks for the advice Mav. I know it probably didn't seem like much but it helped as always.

Re: The Cycling Thread
I'd second checking the cassette. Mine seem to work their way slightly loose over time on all bikes I've had. Even though I do them up to *ridiculous NM torques settings as specified.
