One of my colleagues posted this on the team chat:
I've become so bored during lockdown, that every Saturday night I send my neighbour David flowers with a note saying 'I miss you'.

Then I sit in the garden with a beer and listen to his wife interrogating him.

The one big road trip I've done on a bike. What a trip it was all with org mates My yellow SV, Lucas' black SV, Bender's red R1 and Monkey's green ZX6R. We were somewhere in France at this point I think...

So after ages of prevaricating. Given into the wife's nagging.

We go this morning to the local Suzuki dealer. Sat on a GSX-S 1000F to satisfy myself that my short **** physique is not too challenged in the leg department and that I can comfortably hold it upright with both feet on the deck.

Objective achieved. Test ride booked for Saturday morning. After 17 years with the GSXR, I am looking forward to a more upright riding position. Although the GSXR is staying in the playpen for when my inner hooligan wants to come out to play.

Wife says should I transfer the money for it to you. Or just pay them directly myself. Now ain't that a nice offer and reason to smile. A brand new bike as an early 60th birthday present.
