Plus a new tyre when your tyre manufacturer sends you a letter confirming they don't trust their tyres after dyno.

What is the reason they give for this?

Cycle turbo trainers can cause blistering of the driven wheel tyre due to excessive heat build up in the roller, is this the same principle or is it something else?

Flameboy. Did you ask the Inspector under what legislation they had taken your bike and propose to test it on a rolling road?

Yes, I did. But he said he was unsure and would get the sergeant to get back in touch with me, who never did. I still plan to find the answers to these questions weather I get my bike back tomorrow or not.
