Reading that Kanye West is headlining Glastonbury and knowing I didn't waste my money on a ticket.

I never would waste my money on one of those tickets.

Fear not you'll be able to catch Kayne at his best on the BBC

I'm happy to spend money on gig tickets, and I don't agree with file sharing music and prefer to buy the CD or vinyl. I'm just glad I didn't bother trying to get tickets for Glastonbury this year and spent my money on Blur at Hyde Park instead.

Up and walking around with nothing much more than a slight limp after a knee op on Friday, expected to be on crutches. Even managed to wheel the bike out the garage to check some bits then wheel it back in

I wouldn't go to another Hyde Park Fest, by the time the headline act get on stage its just full of drunken idiots who want to fight. You can't get near the stage, the video screens are carp & the sound is poor.

The drunks make constant trips to the alcohol stores & just irritate you as you're trying to watch the show.

I've been to 2 & never again

Cool
When the Foos played Mr LPH said the sound was poor. When I saw Soundgarden it was better, though that wasn't as busy. This time I'm going straight from the Ashes in Nottingham so won't get there until later on. I can wiggle my way towards the front and as for fighting with the drunks... I've been on tour with New Model Army, and done the mosh pit at Slipknot and Nine Inch Nails, I may be small but when it comes to something like a Blur gig I think I'll be able to handle a few tipsy middle aged britpoppers!

That was a The Levellers tour, I worked for their tiny record label. That was back in the days when I didn't seem to need sleep, and thought it quite normal to travel to Newcastle, Portsmouth, Norwich or Bristol for the evening to get to a gig then travel back to London in the early hours of the morning and be at my desk for 10am! I wish I had that energy now.
