Chucking it down here. I've been playing around with some old MF Zuiko lenses on the OMD. I haven't quite got the manual focus settings or the focus peaking quite right on the camera yet but initial results look promising. |

Re: Vintage film cameras
Took the top off the Solidor to see if could loosen the stiff range finder adjustment wheel. Some alcohol fixed that. Posting these photos as I thought you might be interested in the internals.

Re: Vintage film cameras
It was given to me by a regular customer. He always needs help with his camera or with printing. I guess it was his way of saying thank you. There's only one other staff member that's interested in old cameras so there's no fight over these donations.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Poundland seems to have stopped selling lighter fluid, I need to get some for camera cleaning. The shutter on the Seagull is a little erratic in the first couple of shots but then fired normally. Leave it a while and it hesitates again.

Re: Vintage film cameras
I used isopropyl alcohol on the range finder above. It seems to be a favourite with the 'fix old cameras' YouTube channel.

Re: Vintage film cameras
They have some on Amazon, either 70% or something like 99%. No idea which would need.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Post a link for the 70%, I can't believe the rest would be water.
