Glance in his mirrors?
Thought he'd have finished putting on his make up in the motorhome.

Could this at last be a true test of Valentino's character/personality? This is the toughest little phase I can remember him going through? Still an amazing talent but is he too distracted generally these days?

Odd thing is during his GP racing days, Rossi has never had it this bad.

I doubt he would go to Ferrari now even with an offer.

Walking away from this would look bad.

Let us see if the man has some steel. I think he does, you know.

Look how determined and focused he was. He finally has some real competition and he wants to race. I think it's going to be a very interesting season.

My theory is that Rossi would like to end his Moto GP career how he started it and that is by winning. What a finale to win the first and last of the 900cc category and then to win the first of the 800cc class next season?

He would then be as far as I can see the only World Champion in 500/900 and 800cc Blue Riband classes. That would indeed be a deserving legacy for his unmistakable brilliance.

Well he's got a job on his hands if he wants to win it this year.Good luck or bad he has a fourty+ point deficit to make up and the opposition is no pushover. His only saving grace is that there is no clear single rider who is cleaning up in Rossi's absense, and none who looks like dominating the rest of the season. All bets are on.

I agree with Peter, esepcially after a such a poor start to the season he's going to really want to win now. So we should hopefully see some fireworks through the rest of the year. I'm really glad the other riders ( Peddrosa, Stoner, Hayden, Hopkins, Melandri and Capirossi ) are riding well at the front it makes the racing so much more interesting.

Anyone planning a trip to WSB at Silverstone this weekend?

I'm off there. Hoping to see Toseland do a bit better than of late.

Cheers Keith

I still think Rossi is going to win the championship. He's back on the case with the new chasis, he proved that quite easily. Bad luck stopped him for what looked like was going to be a very easy win indeed.
