Nope. Still in the same place.
I can't fix the lightmeter on the OM1. All the wiring looks OK but I've gone as far as I can go. Am considering sending it off to get it fixed and CLA'd. (should be possible unless the coil has gone). It's either that or sell it cheap and buy one that works.

I could, but it would be nice to have a working meter. If I do get a CLA, I know everything is OK and the camera should be good for the next 5-10 years.

I have, I reskinned it with a plain black kit from Milly's. Have you found anywhere to cla it? I was quoted £150 for my Seagull.

I've emailed a couple of people. One replied and quoted around £60 to fix the meter, which seems pretty reasonable to me.

That's not bad. The cameras are only going up in price so it would be worth doing.

I think Harrow used to charge about £90-100 for a CLA of a similar Pentax, plus any parts other than light seals etc.
Am bidding on 202223273031 not sure how high I'll go but they go for around £40-50 as it's a later model. I could say it would satisfy my curiosity and I could always sell it on, but you know, to quote Terry Pratchet I might as well sue my face for slander.

FXD looks good, you want some boots to match. Kenzie, if I understand the video right, the shutter opens, hangs, then snaps shut? There doesn't seem to be any sound on the clip. Anyway I guess the escapement is sticking, or failing that one of the levers in there is sticking for some reason, it seems to open okay but then not want to go through the motions so well. That's about all I can say from it, I'm happy to take a look sometime, when your patience runs out!

That's what I'm thinking and as it's a mechanical camera, it should still retain some longevity and be fixable in the future whereas with an OM2 for example, an electrical problem or a dead circuit board and it's gone.
