I've never tried getting in there on Open House London weekend as the queues are always staggering.

No queues yesterday. Mind you not many people would want to go to the meetings I do. I'm there every fortnight now meeting some of the guys who were involved in the build project.

The visibility yesterday was amazing and distracting from the meeting!

It's a strange building; very space inefficient. The central core is huge to house the services and lifts etc so the offices are doughnut shaped but can't go to the glazing because they our shell is part of these thermal control of the building, besides you would smack your head on the sloping walls!

A while ago I was at 1 Canada Square (the pointy stainless steel building with the flushing light on top at Canary Wharf, and in LPHs photo). The Gherkin had great 360 views but the view from Canada Square westwards is fantastic.
