Strewth, that wind has been cold today. Feels like we've gone back two months.

Morning all. Bright, sunny and chilly here this morning. Bank holiday is over so it's safe to venture out on the bike again I think. I have a couple of errands to run so I'll get out on two wheels to do them once I've been out for a walk with Mabel.

How about everyone else?

Morning Gary. Wrestled the back wheel out yesterday, new Bridgestone S21 being fitted this morning, then a gentle scrubbing-in ride and assorted pottering.

I like the Bridgestone, very grippy and predictable in the dry. I used to really like Avon Storms but Avon replaced them. The Bridgestone definitely has more grip but at the expense of longevity: just over 9,000 miles from the S21 compared to around 14,000 from an Avon. However the Bridgestone is about £20 cheaper so that compensates a little.

I'm venturing into town today for our monthly meeting with retired colleagues.

Morning all. A chilly start this morning when I went out for a walk with Mabel at 7am, but the sun is breaking through now and it's starting to warm up a bit.
Busy day here; Teams meeting at 10, a quick lunch after that then out to look at someone's computer. Hopefully I'll have time to get into the garden as well.

How's the new tyre Craig? Did you make it out for a ride to scrub it in?

Was this just a social gathering John? Hope it was enjoyable.

Not yet - the wheel's back on the bike (a fiddly job which I absolutely hate, it needs 3 hands to keep all the spacers in place) but after torqueing it all up, checking alignment, cleaning & lubing the chain etc I decided a mug of tea and a good sit down to ease my back was more important

I like the S21, it's grippy from the off and doesn't seem to 'square off' like Avons do. The relatively short life is a minor gripe as it's £20 cheaper than the equivalent Avon Spirit.

We meet every month to catch up and talk rubbish. Mrs Admin goes for a wander around the shops and spends my money.

Morning all. Cloudy start to the morning here, although the sun is starting to break through now but still no rain in sight.

I managed to sneak in a few sunny miles on the bike after my little computer job yesterday. I don't think I'll have the chance today though what with phone calls and meetings.

Have a good day folks.

Still recovering from this damn cold. The cough is lingering making me half wonder if it was Covid, but I don't have any test kits left so I have no idea.

My Honda dealership has just offered me an extended warranty on the TA which is two years old next month. £290 for one year which includes breakdown cover. I don't think I'll bother as the bike does very few miles in a year (Inc SORN for 3 months). I'll sort out my own breakdown cover which I only want for punctures. For interest I've only covered 3500 miles to now.
