dont worry about it, thats the building game for you.. bets they are the type that go down the pub for a pie and fight and talk about footy, betting and loose women. having an inelegant conversation probably hurts their brain.

After nearly two wonderful weeks away in Zakynthos I am finding the novelty of putting a sh!t covered bit of tissue in the bin less and less appealing. Not in a 30 degree plus bathroom. Guess I'm almost ready to come home to blighty and it's big bore plumbing!

Hearing the news today that a broadcaster I've known for nearly twenty years has died very soon after being diagnosed with cancer. He was one of those people who had a beautiful voice, but the charm you heard on air was genuine. He was a real gentleman who loved sport and devoted his life to sharing that enjoyment with others via the airwaves. He's about the fourth colleague to die in as many weeks. Much as I love being called by people asking if I have a nice photo of a person, just recently it's too often been for obituaries or funeral order of services.

Went to take the SV out today and seeing as it has sat for a while I put it on charge last night. Went to it this morning and completely dead. No dash, no pump, nothing. Ok, no worries, I will take the wife's ER6. Go to get fuel, and I can't open the filler. Seized up again. Sod it, I'll take the car then! Just been soaking the lock in Plus Gas and worked it a bit and it opens now. So frustrating!

on my way home from work after the test match finished early, sat in stationary traffic and a f****** car decides to reverse towards me to then try and get a gap that just wasn't there (hence why I was stationary). luckily the idiot only broke my indicator and after looking like he was going to drive away despite my beeping horn finally got out of his car. thankfully the bike was/is rideable so I would have been able to chase the git if he had tried to naff off.... he was very apologetic and instantly was offering to pay for the damage.


so I now have to get the bike to a dealer to find out how much it will cost for them to supply and fit a new indicator (I am not going to go through the hassle of trying to do it myself!).

I would let the dealer fit the new one as well.
Anyone who drives like that needs to pay for it.

There are nearly a dozen people I know in Florida who have refused to evacuate for hurricane Irma.
Tornados now reported on the ground where some of them live with the winds and flooding still to come.


Having grown up spending summers on the coast I have been in a few hurricanes, even once in the eye of a hurricane ,
of course no where near the size of Irma, but with that experience I have to wonder, WTF are these people thinking???

Too late to get out now.
Thoughts and prayers for the foolish.
Many have stayed and many will likely die in Florida in the next 12 to 18 hours.
