Sv in for mot today, no issues at all except and advisory for a loud exhaust mainly because I couldn't find the baffle for it.
Tester was quite complimentary about it being in better condition than some 5 year old bikes they get through the workshop

My local trusted MOT tester put 'noisy exhaust' on the certificate when my 2017 had its first test. With the baffle in, the Yoshi is actually not much louder than stock, so I asked him about it.

He said he puts it as an advisory every time he tests a bike with an aftermarket can, because it covers his **** if the MOT station gestapo, sorry, inspectors ever raise a query about him. For the same reason, he keeps the bike in the workshop for 30 minutes (the mandated time for the test) even though he's done everything within 15 minutes.

I always wondered why the guys I go to take the bike in and then stand around paying no interest to it for about 10 minutes.

I think the computer won't even allow them to print the paperwork until after the alloted time. I understand they have to 'start' the test on the system as well as enter results etc. at the end.

My smile of the day today is very simple: the sun has come out!

Yeah my tester is the same, log in on the system, faff around for 5 minutes, do a couple of the checks, go put the kettle on etc until the times up

Short test ride of some tweaks I've made to the VFR this morning and remembering what a great bike they are. So glad I've picked up another. Similar to the last one... a bit shabby and in need of some love but still brilliant.
