Re: Vintage film cameras
Whole family history of Lordox is here. http://www.cjs-classic-cameras.co.uk...lf.html#junior
It was eventually taken over by Leica. This camera was bought in Aden in the mid 50s when the owner was in the military and cost £5. Spitfire shot sounds good. There's an air museum near here which I've always planned to visit but never quite got round to. There's a classic car and bike show up here this weekend, which might be a good opportunity to play with cameras. |

Re: Vintage film cameras
The Lordomat is said to be a nice camera. I'm also trying to resist the GAS, it's not like I need anything. Except perhaps a Konica Pearl... there's always Christmas!
Put the Automatica back together last night. There is a problem with the rewind button to release the mechanism, I think I've figured it out so will have to have a look sometime. I assumed the meter was nearly dead, but in fact it's almost fine. I did a bit of a write up here if you're interested: http://www.rangefinderforum.com/foru....php?p=2799026 |

Re: Vintage film cameras
I'll have a read Johnny. Yoko, did they give it to you then? I might have a go at this https://www.lomography.com/magazine/...n-camera-strap
Just reading back some of the earlier posts and it's pretty much two years and a day since Yoko popped in to sell some cameras.

Re: Vintage film cameras
I've been out for a stomp today with my wife, took the Afga Standard 6x9 and the Seagull with me loaded with the HP5 I was going to take to Duxford (will need to buy more) I will try and get the rolls souped and scanned today if my back stops hurting.

Re: Vintage film cameras
I've seen worse composition, usually on my shots.
Image quality looks good though. |

Re: Vintage film cameras
It's ok for an older lens, from the thirties I think(actually just found that they date from 1926-1930). The Pentax A3 arrived today, it had the SMC M lens not the SMC A lens. Not too much of a problem but it has a lot of fungus. Thankfully there was a helpful video on YouTube to tear it down, it's back together but a couple of dust specks. I'll take it out on the next shooting run.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Looks like one my 820 Selfix would produce. That too is hard to frame, the finder is about the right coverage but it ends up witt too much foreground

Re: Vintage film cameras
This has a sports finder and one of those small 1cm square finders next to the lens. Pretty much useless!

Re: Vintage film cameras
Just looked it up, not self erecting then? Slidy-focus. Looks the part alright.
