Dropped my phone, broke the screen. Still usable, just irritating

Having to drive the cage in to work to get an MOT. Now this would normally be bad enough.
However today I made it even more special. Got to work at 7am having just done a boring 22 mile commute in the cage instead of the fun filled hooning that is my normal near death ride into work. Only to find that I had somehow picked up my wife's keys too.
Bugger.
So I had to go home again, in fairly **** near rush hour traffic. Drop the keys off and come back again in gridlock. Finally got to work 2 1/2 hours after I had already been there.

I really hate today. And I get the joy of being stuck in it all again later.
Days like today remind me of why I don't think twice about getting on the bike come rain, shine or sleet.

Two weeks of rain when I'm on holiday. Back to work and it's clear blue sky. Not one cloud

I sympathise entirely. Start my next contract tomorrow and we've not had a suitably dry window of a few days to go see my folks on the bike while I've been off. Jolly irritating.

I had a day off yesterday too. I should have got the bike out and gone for a ride. But I was so tired I stayed on the sofa, painted my nails and watched the cricket. I may also take Friday off. Bet a hurricane hits us that day.

Loving life, gear set 1 is now in washing machine getting nikwax treatment

*20 mins later**

Come up behind a car and a curtainside lorry, soon notice (as a bus full of children is passing) that the RH door of the lorry is open

Traffic lights not far away so I used the red light to filter by the car and out in front of the lorry, beeped a couple of times then made something of a open door gesture back at the driver. See his indicator go on and pull in so I did the same, U-turn and rode back. Que the WTF's and then many sincere thanks as driver latched the door closed and done up the chains

I had an idea from riding in the rain the other day. Why don't visors have "hoods"?

So it would attach to the top of the visor and go over the back of the helmet. That way you could have the visor part way open so that it doesn't steam up, without having rain running down the inside of the visor

I can answer that very question, pinlock! It's like double glazing, wet inside and out today with vents closed I couldn't get it to even mist a tiny bit
