GOTD: being disturbed (woke up) by technicians wanting in, very rude!

Looks like I got my wish, Christmas with the in-laws is now cancelled, see todays gripe.

I guess the shoulder issue is karma for being a grumpy ****er.

Sports bike shop actually do free delivery/returns and next day too. I tried about 4 lids from them before buying one

Fair
To be honest I don't know how it's acceptable in the world of lid sales, you don't know some moron's not 'tested' it out by asking his kid to hit him with a baseball bat and then sent it back. Also the Royal mail soccer league. I actually got the right size after 2 lids I just kept sending them back until they sent me a previously unopened one with no external box damage.

Playing Devils advocate - A lid box gets damaged -the lid is then put on display in the shop - no knowing its history. I bought a Shoie helmet that used to crack now and again as I rode along. On investigation the polystyrene liner was cracked and broken. I returned it and the shop sent it back to Shoie who replaced the liner - making me think now how did it get damaged. Was a long time ago though.

I know Fowlers ask anything tried on in the shop to be left to one side and it either gets UV cleaned or put aside for three days before it goes back out on the racks.

It's a fair point, you do need to trust wherever you get your lid from.

I would want a completely new helmet. The manufacturers themselves say if any part of the helmet is damaged it should be replaced !

Due to the cold weather, I have moved indoors for work and sat at the dining room table with my laptop in yet another teams meeting.

Daughter has set up the wifes ring tone for christmas. when mid meeting her phone bursts into life.

Dominic the Donkey. I have to explain to my leadership the silly noise in the background. All are working from home so appreciate family noise happens. But instead of children it is
Eey ore Eey ore, jigitty jig!

Still a smile mid meeting when discussing finance reporting. Kept me awake.
