Re: Tuesday 30th Oct - Shire Horse (reprise)
Would be rude not to. I also heard that that was the best way of warming your rental bike engine!!

Re: Tuesday 30th Oct - Shire Horse (reprise)
I thought that was done by holding your front brake on, reving up and dumping the clutch... Wouldn't that work???
Either that or leaving your bike outside in the cold whilst having a nice drink in a warm pub, then starting her up cold and reving the balls off of it??? Errr hang on... |

Got home safe enough. Thought I was going to run out of petrol though. 160 miles out of the tank. Jeez I must ride like a girl.

Re: Tuesday 30th Oct - Shire Horse (reprise)
Yeah I made it home fine, though it was bloody cold. its a 64 miles round trip exactly for anyone who wanted to know. Phil is fine too, or at least up until the roundabout near his house. I was a bit hungover for the meet though, I usually have many anecdotes so I promise not to drink so much next time and regale you with useless stories!
