Re: How fast would you personaly ride?
I don't think I'd go over 170. Maybe I'm just getting old and conservative. I've only been 155 (where legal!) so don't approve of all this speeding!

Re: How fast would you personaly ride?
As I said before 40 (or indeed 30) is enough to kill you ... but at say 60, there is a chance that you can react before hitting buses ... at 200+ there isn't a lot of thinking/reaction time available Also if you slide off at 60 it takes say 100m to come to a stop, at 200+ it takes ?!!?? m to come to a stop ... chances of finding places where you do ~100m before hitting something solid are greater than ?!!??m |

Re: How fast would you personaly ride?
At 160mph I was being sucked off the back of our Daytona 1200, so Pete would probably vote for quicker than that
Voted for 100-130, as that is what we do now, and is quite fast enough to be interesting

I'm not so sure you are as safe at 200 as at 155 as stopping distance, although extreme at both speeds, would obviously be longer, reaction times would need to be marginally quicker and IMO you can feel every mph when you're over 140 so 200 would seem loads faster. I've changed my mind, 200mph is too fast with the road bikes available today - but maybe tomorrow..........
