Idle Banter For non SV and non bike related chat (and the odd bit of humour - but if any post isn't suitable it'll get deleted real quick). There's also a "U" rating so please respect this. Newbies can also say "hello" here too. |

Re: New members....
I'm brand spanking new here.
Been on other forums for a while though, a year on BCF but it's pretty carp compared to here, everyone is more interested in insulting people over there. Within about a week or two of joining up I was going to go on a ride out (untill the bike messed up) and have met Si who has been a great help! Looking forward to meeting the local lot on rideouts in the future and can see myself staying on here for a while. |

Re: New members....
Org IS the best forum on the net, without a doubt. That's why so many people stay after they no longer have an SV. This is more than just a web site, it's a community.
You get the odd falling out, but on the whole people treat each other with respect. Yes, you get a lot of p*ss-taking amongst members who know each other well, but it is friendly p*ss-taking, not meant maliciously, and people are more than ready to help each other out. Long may Org continue!

Re: New members....
I've had my SV 2 weeks now, and I joined because I find if you have any newb questions about a bike the best people to ask are owners (and ex-owners ofc)
There's also a nice community feel, and a wealth of information available at the click of the "search" button! |
