Re: Anyone for a camping weekend in the Peaks?
Right guys, feel like i've been neglecting my organising duties some what
Ok CAMPSITE Is definitely going to be Barn Farm, Birchover, Matlock, Derbyshire, DE4 2BL I know some of you have been before so don't need to tell you its purrrdy looking When I popped in with Christopher and Electro the other month the not so confidence inspiring young lad in reception said it'd be fine for us to turn up without booking. Just checked on their website and it says the Birchover Village family night is on the saturday we're staying, so i'll clarify with them tomorrow whether we do need to ring up and book FOOD The above should take care of saturday night seeing as theres a bbq on. As far as friday night goes, theres the 2 pubs in the village but if theyre rammed i'm thinking, the Maazi indian restaurant nearby delivers saturday morning I don't think the butty bar will be open but again i'll check. If not i'll bring some disposable bbqs and take your orders nearer the time RIDE Its roughly 185 miles, starting from the Two Dales garage on the A6. I'll lead the ride and Christopher kindly volunteered to be TEC. I would have accepted until I heard that Jen is a seasoned pro at TEC duties and therefore I think she should do it. Jen if you could bring the customary full spanner set 10-32mm, a good selection of screwdrivers, allen keys, jumper cables, puncture repair kit, torque wrench, chain riveter, spare chain, spare front and rear tyres (SV size) oh and a paddock stand mustn't forget the paddock stand! Hope all that won't affect your ability to cross them double whites..... *and run awayyyyyyyyyyyyy!*

Re: Anyone for a camping weekend in the Peaks?
Not a problem Dave, all of that fits in my tank bag so will in no way hinder my ability to "make progress" or stop me from crossing those pesky double whites...

Re: Anyone for a camping weekend in the Peaks?
As you only mentioned tyres in SV fitments... does this mean you won't be using one of your dad's many bikes and might actually be on your own!?

Besides I only give my dads bikes a quick spin round the block every now and then just to make sure they're running properly and the batterys charged.....oh you know if we do a 2-3,000 mile euro trip next year? I'll be on my dads bike lol

Re: Anyone for a camping weekend in the Peaks?
Did you remove the bumpy road in the end? The one that was much funnnnnnn on Ninja and made it give up/breakdown...
I'm liking how I was the original TEC idea when I don't know the route Thankfully we have Jen taking over! |

Re: Anyone for a camping weekend in the Peaks?
No we dont... I wont be allowed to over take if I'm TEC.... you can all rest easy! (for 45mins at each junction while I obey the speed limits and don't perform "questionable overtakes"....recovery trucks are not known for their acceleration you know...)
