As I'll be coming down on the bike, I dont have anywhere to keep stuff. Is there somewhere I could leave a small tankbag full of food and spare gloves? Or am i best cramming it all under the seat with everything else?

I left my rucksack in the back of the pits, mixed in with some strangers stuff for near enough all day the other weekend. Left wallet, phone etc and no one seemed like they would rummage through. I'd try to take everything out from under the seat as it'll probably get very very hot under there.

people are usually very friendly and it's unlikely anything would happen to your stuff. as for anything under the seat getting hot... why would that be? unless you have a bike with an under seat exhaust i see no reason why it would get hot under there. especially in the cold of dedcember.
