So does my other half sometimes and she's taller than you are.

I'm 6ft, and there wll be situations when even I'll be tip toes down when I stop on my GSXR normally due to the camber of the road.

I'm sorry to say this Ruth, but IMHO you wont get that bike any lower if you do most likely it'll handle like a pig.

I think the problem is in your head, you need to get out there and ride, if you drop it so what, you wont conquer your fear by sitting indoors and fretting over it.

TBH if you are that short in the leg you might just have to accept that the SV is a bike you cant ride and go and find one you can. Its not always to do with the seat height seat width has a lot to do with it as well.

This is true. I have a corbin seat on one of my bikes, and sometimes it can be a little awkward on adverse cambres, specially if its windy as I hae a tendency of putting both feet down. Its quite wide compared to standard, but I don't make an issue of it, I just remind myself for a couple of miles thats its 'the other seat'

If one foot is enough what about when wanting to turn right? If i had my left foot down would i be able to support the bike! I just worry about sitting at junctions falling of to the right and me head getting ran over!

well you should be covering your back brake with your right foot.
Mind you Im Indoors rides cak legged, but thats because he couldn't hold a bike with his left hip for years, so he always had his right foot down to steady the bike instead.

Ruth, It's a shame you already have a bike as mine is already chage like Bibio's and it's available.
But! changing the front forks as we have done isn't going to lower it anymore than you have already done by dropping the forks through the yokes. The limiting factor is when the mudguard hits the radiator.
But you may get it to handle better with better front forks and a better rear shock that is shorter (both from the GSXR's) but again at the rear you won't be able to lower it any lower than the longest dogbones that allow clearance between the rear wheel & undertray at full compression.

As already been said, get out and ride the bike, its the only way you will know you are fine.

On my SV it was lowered (not that much) and i could get the balls of my feet down when i was in jeans or dragon jeans but as soon as i put my leathers on.... i was only puting the one ball of me foot down at junctions and tipping the bike that way as well, and that is with an inside leg of 34.

As fizz has said i think it is in your head. You just need to get out and ride the thing. If you drop it you drop it!

The Advanced way of doing it is putting your right foot down.
Then you can sit in Neutral & change into first to pull away. Front brake on not rear.
