I may have been overly harsh There's a lot about it that's very nice, I just don't think it hangs together. He won his class in the contest, incidentally.

Really. I didnt look that closely at the other bikes I have to say. I was having a very good look through his one.

Curvy, obviously.

I did ask a really brain dead question, about how everyone new it was a GSXR 600 front end, rather than a 750.
Ehhhh. Cause, that's what the massive sign says?
I hadn't even seen the spec sheet cause I was looking so closely at the bike.

i think the birmingham NEC show was far better. Never mind the parking facilities. Both were equally expensive but the lack of bikes was a bit of a joke at excel. Maybe the way MCN wanted to arrange them put off the manufacturers as DK motorcycles provided nearly all of them!

Really? I didn't get the items I was planning on buying as they had run out but I still thought it was a good show - all the bikes that interested me were there and there was plenty to see.
OK, context time again... Compared to say 3 years ago it was pants. No Italian bikes, and the place was full of stands all selling the same old crap. You can only take so much cheap winter clothing in one day.

Absolutely pants.

Bought a back protector, but could have bought one cheaper on-line, just bought it because the chap who sold it too me was the only one who spoke to me for more than 30 secs.

Most of the "bargin" stuff was so poor I'd felt more comfortable in a jacket from Next. Looking at buying a map-reader to go with the bagster cover-was offered £2 off the retail price-I can get it cheaper on the net.

What a waste of £16 and a morning's lye in.

And what is it with women in tiny skirts. If I want to see nearly naked women I'll buy a magazine or get my girlfriend drunk, I don't want to go to a Motorcycle show. Don't we want to try & encourage more women into biking, this aint gonna help.

Reminds me of FHM....used to buy it because of the funny and good articles, few years ago became so pornographic that I felt embarrassed to buy it. Feel more comfortable buying Razzle than FHM now. Same with the show.

Rant over, my £0.02 spent.

Actually I thought there was way too little eye candy this year. They could have had a few more birds in short skirts and bikini's I thought
And by the time the MCN babes came out in their skimpy outfits I was long gone because I had been overcome with boredom :P

hehe. i had a go at the barclay card people

'sir do you have a creditcard'
'would you like us to explain the benefits of a barcl...'
'could you take a few minutes to...'

i told them they had no place at an event we had paid to get in to and they should pack their stuff up and just go home.
