Re: Embarrassing Biking Moments.
Not going to beat Lissa's but....
* Collected the bike at Lunchtime, dropped it that evening at 0mph trying to turn right at a junction on my first ride. Crushed indicator, balls and pride. * Thinking to myself a month later, glad I've got past dropping it now, then dropping it exactly the same way at a different junction 10 minutes later. Was so upset that I jumped back on again. started the engine, dumped the clutch and fell off again without moving. More crushing. * Went with the girl to France for night, on Sunday parked up in townsquare of nice seaside town, had huge Sunday lunch. Came back to bike, figured it would be easier to ride across busy square rather than do tight U-turn, did that, then stopped to join main road, put foot down but square was on a slope and nothing there. Reactions slow so I went down under bike, missus managed to leap clear and land on feet. Hundred french people watch on in amusement....

Re: Embarrassing Biking Moments.
Stopped outside post office and climbed off my SV without first putting the side stand down first. Bike toppled on top of me and I did my back in trying to stop it hitting the deck. All I could think was "Oh me lower fairing !!"Passing member of the public (BIG bloke) just walked straight past as if I wasn't there ! Wa**k**

Brilliant! Some of those are absolutely priceless, I haven't laughed so much for ages
And fair play to you all for having the courage to admit to them too

Re: Embarrassing Biking Moments.
i went with a work pal of mine to buy a zxr750 he purchased the bike and went to a petrol station to put in fuel, when pulling up at the fuel pump he dropped the zxr on its side and whilst trying to pick it up he pin'd the throttle open with the engine running on its side! this took the rings! what a ****ter!

Re: Embarrassing Biking Moments.
I have a few, though none involving bosoms so I lose
I've highsided in my own driveway at about 2mph... I've had the bike fall off its sidestand on me in the garage and leave me squashed like a bug under it for 5 minutes till I finally managed to lift it far enough to slide out... I've had my dodgy leg freeze up on me and leave me unable to get my foot down when I've stopped, twice, and I've done a timed 1/4 mile down a road with a big speedbump on it and nearly been thrown over the front after hitting it at about 70mph on the slowdown... I've binned my bike twice on rideouts as well, though I'm not actually all that embarrased about those now... And I've fitted anodised bolts I'm not at all embarassed about the apehangers and leather saddlebags I fitted to my Virago though, it was ace.

Re: Embarrassing Biking Moments.
Get on the bike in the morning to go to work, rather tired. Driveway slopes downwards, so I roll forwards, feet up on pegs, click into gear. Turn onto the road, revs up clutch out, then fall over 'cos it didn't go into gear properly

Re: Embarrassing Biking Moments.
During my DAS course, got separated from the instructor at a roundabout, heard him say on the radio 'take the next turn on the left towards... etc'. After about 4 miles realised he must have said 'don't take the next turn on the left'. The other student who was following me didn't look pleased when we eventually pulled into a layby and waited for the instructor.
