Went past Montford Bridge yesterday - looking really nice, green grass, trees in leaf, river looked very purty
Still raining though |

I just phoned the Old Swan to book for two nights and Denise said we are going to have to start paying deposits as there are so many of us. £5 each. Only problem is they have no facilities to take phone payments from us individually so I guess were are going to have to send cheques or possibly Paypal them to one person who then send the full amount to The Old Swan but then paypal will take fees.
She wants one of the organisers to call her tomorrow. |

Maybe it would be best just to post our own cheques to the pub direct ?

John PS. Paypal take a huge chunk of commission. A cheque made payable to the pub and posted should be fine. I guess that they're worried that if the event gets pulled then they will loose a lot of income. Not that it will.

Just spoke to Steve Parker at the Old Swan. He's a biker too, so he's not worried about hosting us from that score.
He shows about 13 bookings for both Fri and Sat so far. I explained our plans and he's fine with that as long as there is no raping, pillaging and raucous behaviour. He'll probably put us in our own field. The request for a deposit is just to cover them, in case the event gets cancelled, He's had his fingers burnt before with no-shows. This is their website http://www.theoldswan.com/ Can you make cheques payable to the Bronze Swan ltd, as that's the holding company. He's now got my phone number and name, so he should come to me directly if he has any further concerns or issues. John
