A big thank you to all the guys that came.
It turned out to be a great evening and we've had some great feedback.
Thank you all for your support and we hope to see you again.

What a great evening! Thanks Russ, we had a brilliant time and managed to shake the track bikes down, meaning we can take them a proper distance now without a worry!

Jambo - does this mean not worrying about what might break on them, cause you KNOW what will break

Exactly!
You see, there are known knowns, known unknowns, and unknown unknowns. We've addressed the known knowns, and considered some of the known unknowns. The unknown unknowns are of course tricky little blighters.

Which is to say, 2 for 2, you can't leave a curvy SV laid up for years at a time, then fire it up and set out on a track day without it ruining the water pump oil seal... And in this case cracking the oil sight glass. Which is just weird.

Weird is right, then again that engine has been lying around for approximately 7 years, the glass may well have been scratched or damaged in that time, and so when heated up that stress raiser got to work.

Maybe.

They do seem quite effective, especially when the grins/pound calculation is considered.
