I do motorways a lot, and I've nearly done this a number of times - especially when a car disappears from your inside by pulling into the 1st lane or pulling out behind you, you tend to have a good look round for it.

GWS, take it easy, you might feel worse when you wake up tomorrow. I think there's a 2-day rule somewhere for maximum pain from bruises and abused muscles

Jesus Si, if you keep on at this rate there will be no bikes for the rest of us to ride. And please don't say it was on the YZF too? I have a very nice Dullsville you can have, only £250

Seriously though mate, glad you are OK, that sounds like a f'in nasty accident to me!

Man that is unlucky, I know exactly what the kind of situation is like, it has nearly happened to me a number of times. It's ironic, as I think the more aware you are of using mirrors and looking for cars all around you the slightly less time you spend looking ahead. Glad everyone managed to stop in time and not run you over, that is always a big fear for me on motorways. Good stuff on wearing all the gear, you'd look pretty stupid if you hadn't been knowing that you are the author of the "wear yer leathers" thread . Now rest a lot and chill out, we all know we will see you again soon!
