More trackdays should be done like that with the .org next year was a great event.

It may be a complete pipe dream as there probably isnt enough people interested on here, but a car forum I frequent once organised an event at cadwell and another at mallory, they got 40 people together paying £100 and rented the track for a day.

The smaller tracks can be hired on a weekday for £3500.

Much less people than a normal trackday and open pit lane was brilliant.

The TVSF managed a trip to Rockingham - where Walkaboutandy picked up his Avatar...

The cheapest option for hiring a track is Llandow in Wales. We had a Yamaha TDR250 (one of my other bikes) day there a summer or 2 ago.

i didn't do that one, brands is a bit of a rip off ihmo (though i haven't actually been there).

too bloody true - best part of £300 on a TD for the full GP circuit in the summer

I effing love the Indy circuit though - well worth stumping up for IMHO.

i thought it was £200? but still, i just cannot justify that much for one day, when it's quite possible to crash in first session and mash up either yourself or your bike and not able to go out again!

Yeah, but a trackday on the GP circuit is one of those 'must dos' in biking life, whatever the cost. I've only done one session there on the ZX10R race bike to get a feel of what it's like, so I wasn't as quick as I'd like to have been - however, it really is that good. Next time I'll stump up full money to take the CBR round all day and really appreciate it.
