Re: Le Tour(Tour de France 2008)
So Alp D'uez tomorrow and the Galiber in the same day.. nasty..
Watching the Eurosport coverage, Stephen Roche has just said, that the climbers will ride it in a 39 x 23 I normally climb in a 39 x 25 and the roads around here arent as steep as that. I've been known to run a 38 x 27 and I've struggled up climbs in that to. Just shows how strong those guys are

Re: Le Tour(Tour de France 2008)
Yep. He's very lucky and he made it into the finish as well 5 minutes down on the main bunch or something like that.
The Eurosport commentator said he looked "like a frog climbing up a slag heap"

Re: Le Tour(Tour de France 2008)
I would have loved to see said commentator trying to climb loose rocks with road cycling shoes...

Re: Le Tour(Tour de France 2008)
He needed crampons not cycling shoes. Mind you theres a nice bike down the side of that hill... I wander if anybody went to get it...
