So Alp D'uez tomorrow and the Galiber in the same day.. nasty..

Watching the Eurosport coverage, Stephen Roche has just said, that the climbers will ride it in a 39 x 23

I normally climb in a 39 x 25 and the roads around here arent as steep as that. I've been known to run a 38 x 27 and I've struggled up climbs in that to.

Just shows how strong those guys are

I can spare an old 22 x 28, if someone needs it The new kit is 22 x 34, I think I can manage 3 mph in an horizontal plane without falling off or swerving all over the road.

Yep. He's very lucky and he made it into the finish as well 5 minutes down on the main bunch or something like that.

The Eurosport commentator said he looked "like a frog climbing up a slag heap"

I would have loved to see said commentator trying to climb loose rocks with road cycling shoes...

He needed crampons not cycling shoes. Mind you theres a nice bike down the side of that hill... I wander if anybody went to get it...
