Re: Building From the Ground Up
For a stock setup... no. But I'm going to have to weld my own subframe anyway for the tail I have envisioned. I'm sure I'll finagle it in there somewhere

Re: Building From the Ground Up
BIKE SHOP
Bike shop is moving along. I'll move the SV out to it tomorrow. I can't wait. I'll finally have room to work on a few things and keep them locked up. Home Depot had laminate flooring on clearance so I decided to put that in. Also as promised... My cat. Shop by Jacob Martin, on Flickr Last edited by Jacobus; 23-09-17 at 11:48 AM. |

Re: Building From the Ground Up
SV is in my new shop. I can work on it with out having to suck my gut in. I got a few headlight ideas. Using an adjustable bracket to decide where I want it to go. I've decided to wait until the tank is on before making a final decision. I'll weld a more suitable mount after that. I also ordered a new front wheel since i discovered a slight hop in this one. It's been bothering me so cheap investment to cope with the uneasyment. I'll cerakote it as soon as it comes in.

Re: Building From the Ground Up
I want to sculpt a Ducati S1000. I'd have to get the proportions just right. I think I'd like it.

Re: Building From the Ground Up
New front wheel and tire on this weekend. Went with a pilot power 3. Also Cerakoted and baked it this weekend. when it's cooking it Kinda smells like barbeque and moth balls. After putting on this wheel I've changed my priorities. I diffinatly have got to get a set of stands.

Re: Building From the Ground Up
Stands or lifts came in today. Theyre Viper copies straight from China. At least they were kind enough to throw away the instructions for me. Had to tweak and file a few things to get it put together. But it was a good price and lifts the bike no problem.

Re: Building From the Ground Up
Fabbed a headlight bracket, and got it off the forks. Gas tank came in and started stripping it. Having the tank on helped me decide how high the light needed to be.
Ive got to have a mirror in Arkansas so I used a bar end mirror and took the anchor out of it and clamped it on. I stole that Idea from Kott Motorcycles. Also I ordered a rear tire, it shipped today. Last edited by Jacobus; 23-09-17 at 04:49 PM. |
