I voted yes as this would mean I could most probably attend at least some of it - seeing as its pretty near my neck of the woods (I cant manage the travel distances that all the others have been so far).

Stepping up to organise makes you a hero in my book. One volunteer is better than ten pressed men. Try to spread the workload as much as you can. Viper and Fizz had to do far too much IMO.

For venue ideas, dont rule out Scout Campsites (list here)

A lot of LARP events use them, and they generally have good facilities for showers/toilets etc.

And a lot of them have large indoor areas which would be useful in case of bad weather.

LOL

Nah, havent had anything to do with Scouts since I gave up being a Venture Scout leader 10+ years ago.

But they DO have some great facilities at some sites, last site I stayed at over Easter had a swimming pool, pedal cart circuit and loads of showers.

Also, in some cases, plenty of things for Hovis to fall off of

Hovis - We are not getting married at the AR!!!!!!

Secondly, we have already decided that we will incorporate the AR round the honeymoon. At the end of the day, can always go on honeymoon / holiday, but, you only get one chance a year to see Hovis make a t1t out of himself.
