Baph - It is difficult to see all sides of the story sometimes, especially when children are involved, but if these are genuinely the facts then what has the world come to?

It is also easy for us to sit here and act as judge and jury - not sure I can make myself see another side though - sorry.

Exactly. A good point well made.

Supprising how quick a 'civilised' and friendly group of people descend to primal instincts. I wonder if any of those jumping to conclusions would appreciate 'innocent until proven guilty' should they ever be accused, of anything.

OK I'm going to be brave and say what I really think, even though it may make some people on here hate me and maybe want to do unpleasant things to me

What they did to that child was dreadful no doubt about it. None of us decent thinking individuals would dream of doing anyhting so awful. Would we?

However I don't think a child's life or well-being is MORE important than anyone else's. I very strongly believe that all of us are equal and each one of our lives and happiness is as important as anyone else's.

Therefore, even though I absolutely believe the adults responsible for what happened should be brought to justice ( and that's not the debate I'm joining in here) I also believe it is up to our justice system to implement it.
Therefore when any of us, outside of the justice system, believes and incites others to believe, in torture and harm to another individual, that makes them as bad as the original evil doer. They should be subject to the same justice system and someone who incites racial hatred or terrorism.

Some people on here would dream of doing awful things to another person

Would you be saying the same if you did not know the family? I genuinely don't know the answer to that so don't jump at me.
