what level is everyone im level 4 just now just now killing those mututant things is hard anyone have idea where can get some decent weapons, also where can i find some money on it?

i've basically just started, so no help from me sos.

I got it yesterday but am tired already of it's role playing habits.

Very drolé in my opinion. I'll try and stick it out though. The storyline and graphics are amazing though.

i almost gave up soon after starting as it was "just another RPG" - get going on the "follow in his footsteps" quest and get into the city the GNR HQ and things improve

perhaps it's just me coming from FPS games or playing through the first time on easy mode (i seem to have amassed a haul of stimpaks and ammo like some kind of one man army now though), but the supermutants aren't that hard to kill are they? get their attention, lure them close then three shots in the head with the hunting rifle, search the corpses and you get 5/6 rounds back, rinse and repeat

now the brutes are a different story, bloody miniguns...

Lazer rifle and Tesla suite = unstoppable

Cant remember if I have the Tesla Suit or Enclave Power Armour equiped at the moment.

Those who claim you need to upgrade a PC every 6 months to play games clearly know very little about PC's then!

My PC was 18 months old and still ran Crysis at High settings at 1660x1050, ran HL2 with ease maxed out and pretty much any other game you care to mention. Don't fall for the hype that a 6 month old machine is outdated. Build your own system and it'll last two years easy and still beat most consoles in the GFX dept.

I know have 2 4870 X2's in Crossfire. The limiting factor is now heat dissipation!

built my own ok it lasted longer than 6 months but no way near the value of a console higher start price lower life for minor graphic benefits i cant see the benefit so i dont bother now this latest pc ive got will be the last i have for a while

thought i'd revive this thread as lost my save game due to a HDD crash so had to start over and played through the first 6 hours or so yesterday and today

anyone got dogmeat following them around now? call me soft but it's the first time i've ever felt emotionally attached to an NPC - reminds me savagely of the dog in "i am legend" - i'll admit i was welling up when he died so i had to cheat amd make dogmeat immortal
