I used to drink very heavily. I hated my old job so to combat that I had a very active social life. Used to go out 6 nights a week and would always have around 8-9 pints of Stella. Which best case scenario equates to 144 units of Alcohol per week. This went on for about 1 and a half years.
In the end my health was starting to take an obvious downwards spiral with Heart Palipitations and liver and kidney aches. So decided to quit my job.

I have never quit alcohol per se'. I cut down after quitting my job and now very rarely drink but not through concious decisions but just cos thats the way I enjoy living at the moment. I'll have a couple of beers on my own if Im watching Rugby or Football and occasionally I'll go for a night out with my mates and get very merry.

I used to have a massive problem which was quite bad seeing as I was only 19 at the time. Im not T-total now but compared to how I used to be its like black and white.

Don't trust people who refuse to drink. What exactly are they hiding?!

I go through phases of cutting down (normally near the end of the month near payday!).

Tend to drink more indoors than out, right now- mainly due to the cost. But I like the odd bottle of wine, see?

I managed to give up for 8 months- but that was a decade ago. Only managed 10 weeks more recently (last year, I think).

I'm actually focussing more on cutting out caffeine at the moment- another addictive chemical that comes under the radar as socially acceptable. I'm even getting decent nights' sleeps now!

i try not to drink during the week at all i don't always succeed i.e. tonight i shall have a glass of wine. and when i drink at weekends i find i just fall asleep so 'm not overley bothered right now about alcohol. If i'm in a situation where i don't know many people i will have a couple to help me relax and mingle

Never drink during the week.
Drink most weekends, quite heavily, typical young student.
Drink in with my mates, usually on the xbox or something daft, or go out in town, or down to the pub.

The lads at the pub are something else, some get off work at 12, in the pub at half 12, drink till half 11, then go out in town.
Theyre in there every day. Its amazing the amount of drink they can put away.

Nope, just someone who has very little tolerance for alcohol, and hates feeling like death the following day

I do like Bailey's haagen-dazs though
