I reckon Pete is the Stig.

I do!

Pete you must get fed up of all these reports on the net that invoke knee jurk reactions towards your profession?

I would anyway and probably maim a few people in a fit of uncontrollable murderous rage.

As for the last one, NEVER

Well, not any more

Well not unless they are smaller than me and have handcuffs on 'cos I'm just a bully who was picked on at school who should be out there catching rapists and murderers instead of riding around in my comfy warm car raising money for the government by ticketing people.

No I'm not bitter.

Pete.

Oh and here are some smilies in case people don't realise that we are allowed a sense of humour.

You mean they actually let you put the heaters on in the car? Haven't they heard there's a credit crunch on... tsk...

Tee hee. Another great humour fuelled post by the almighty one known only as, The Bluepete.

Some say, that he once overtook himself doing a wheelie and then gave himself a ticket and did 'time'.

Some say............that while filtering at 103mph he actually broke the Guiness World record for the amount of Volvo wing mirrors he smashed off.

All we know, he is called the Blue Pete.

Nah, that's total b*****ks ( ) If you see a speed camera and crash, you're obviously not safe on the road at all, anyone with such bad obs and decision making is going to have an accident sooner or later. IMO

Yeah but something that's obviously going to cause panic braking isn't a good idea... maybe I should go dump some bags of gravel round roads just to see who's on their toes eh?

Anyway my comment about them saying excessive speed was the cause of the accident still stands! You get plenty muppets slamming brakes on for cameras when they're under the limit too.

Oh yeah, that's completely right, I wouldn't disagree with that in the slightest Some people are just liabilities. But the camera's not the cause, any more than speed is, it's just the trigger.

I do agree with you that it's the trigger not the cause. But I would go one stage further. If you take my situation for example. I was on my way to work just round the corner from my house. So I know it very well, so maybe I was being complacent? But I've never had a car stop in front of me where one did that day (to turn right into a driveway, not a road) when I was distracted by the Hi Viz of the community watch up ahead. Definetely wouldn't have been a collision if the Watch hadn't been there and I would contest I'm not a great liability on the road
