Feminist: NO..YOUR NOT LISTENING..WE WANT TO BE ABLE TO..... IF WE WANTED.... Male World: Right so what your saying is that you want to do the same jobs as men but only if you want to.. Feminist: Yup.. Male World: Right.. anything else.. Feminist: (TALKS FOR SEVERAL YEARS ABOUT EQUALITY) Male World: ZzZzZzZzZzZzZz . . . . ![]() ![]() are feminists.. feminists because they arnt attractive? or is Feminisim like a permenant time of the month? ive never understood it. |

I went to a strip show years ago, and got talking to one of the girls, I asked her if she enjoyed doing it, and she said it totally paid for her CB600 (she arrived on it btw as well! Good enough reason for me!

BSB isn't top level though is it. Good little read though. I guess these points are perfect examples of female racers not getting enough coverage. Theres such a market there.
Will look out for here in the BSB supersport racing in a few weeks time when the TT's finished. Oh oh, good point, doesn't the TV programs on ITV4 start soon???? |

Oh sod it, go on then I'll bite
![]() Daimo, correct me if I'm wrong but is your basic premise that men are better in motorsports because of physical differences, namely they're stronger and so can better resist braking forces etc? Again, please feel free to correct me if I've missed something but surely the braking and cornering forces experienced by the rider are the effect of g-force and hence proportional to weight? Geoff Capes can probably bench press far more than Rossi but put both frames on a motorcycle (and assume Geoff Capes now has identical riding skill to Rossi) and who wins? Sure, a certain base line level of strength is required to man-handle (oops, person-handle) a bike around but that base line is well within anyone's reach regardless of gender. And a certain base line level of endurance is required, but again that's within all professional competitors reach - a fair number of riders can run marathons - but those that can run two back-to-back marathons will see no benefit in their riding thanks to that greater endurance. Even mental differences (of which evidence I have to say is pretty vague and sketchy - it's certainly not a simple "men designed to hunt mammoths therefore better 3D perception" etc) can work both ways. Take the equally vague and sketchy premise of "women are better at multi-tasking" - ergo that could mean women are fractionally better at knowing what the back tyre is up to whilst also concentrating on the bike coming up the inside, whilst also concentrating on their own lines. That effect, if it exists, could easily counter men's benefit (again, if it exists) in better spatial perception. My racing experience is limited to MZ racing. A class where horse-power got thrown out by Trades Descriptions and bikes are instead rated in hamster power. A class where brakes are barely strong enough to stop the weight of the bike, let alone the weight of the rider on top, and similarly where tyres were so thin they could only cope with the lateral forces involved whilst turning if a rider no heavier than a small child was aboard. Every one of my fellow competitors was stronger than me (I'm guessing here, they were all bigger than me), doubtless all of them had more endurance than me, yet thanks to my diminutive (but still in it's own way extremely hunky) frame I could brake harder, accelerate harder and corner harder; unfortunately none of this was enough to overcome my entire deficit of skill but that's beside the point - I was better than my skill levels should have allowed me. There are plenty of women who are as strong or stronger than me, yet I had all the strength I needed for my class. There are also plenty of women out there who have more endurance than me, yet again I wasn't lacking in that for my class. All I was lacking in was skill. |
