I have to disagree on this. Seems one copper does something that ends in tradegy and the rest of the Police are labelled as morons !

I am a modern copper and spent 3 hard months at training college learning the law, and forever learning new legislation in my time.

As has been said ,police officer or not, this person must have known that they were endangering the dogs lives by leaving them in that enivornment. I hope they do prosecute for cruelty or whatever law it would be covered under.
