Re: Loud cans
I OTOH have a fully legal exhaust (if maybe slightly louder than stock) because I'd prefer the sound of a V4 on full chat to not be heard 2miles away so as to prevent complaints from residents leading to speed traps...

Re: Loud cans
Different tastes for different people. I dislike thunderously loud cans, and in fact my SV can unbaffled is only about as loud as Greek's cans with the baffles in.
I even think that some sporty corsas, for example, with nice exhausts, actually look and sound ok. It's just that most are bog standard corsas with crappy sounding buckets stuck on the back. It still does 0-60 in 15 seconds so what exactly are you proud of? The biggest problem with the SV is that it sounds really bad with the stock can. The SV1000s stock cans look and sound much nicer.

i like loud cans because im not much older than one of them chavs in a corsa, i just have an sv that beats every car round here, off the mark. you have to love seeing them chavs at lights wanting a race so you say race for slips they agree then disagree when you ask for there car and the standard can! |

Re: Loud cans
Newsflash: not all speed traps take the form of speed cameras.

Re: Loud cans
all speed traps MUST be put in where people have been killed, they need to a reason to spend that much money!

Re: Loud cans
I like having a nice loud can as it sounds mint and, as an added bonus, annoys miserable pumpers that think "it's too loud".
This thread would be more appropriate if it was arguing about what's the point of standard cans, as they is so well proper turd. |

Re: Loud cans
True - they dont sound as stifled as the 650 exhaust - but I just had to have that noise - my LeoVince cans are loud but not ridiculous (IMO - or have I just got used to them?!)
